Safety Operation Skills of Two Post Lift
2022-05-04
In the process of vehicle maintenance and repair operations, the two-post lift is the most widely used and frequently used lifting equipment. However, if it is not operated in accordance with safety regulations during use, it is likely to cause personal and vehicle safety accidents. Now, let's share the safety operation skills from the after-sales engineers of J&F.
1. Pre - lifting Inspection
(1) Check the power switch and operate all buttons. It is required that "the lift stops immediately when the hand leaves the button" (the lift stops working as soon as the hand leaves the button). The slides on both sides should run synchronously to ensure that the lifted vehicle will not tilt, and the arm lock should be able to lock automatically.
(2) The rubber anti - skid pad plays an anti - skid role when holding the vehicle on the pallet. It must be in good condition without damage; The steel wire rope must not have broken wires or rust; The safety lock must be sensitive and effective.
(3) There must be no oil leakage at the oil pipe joints.

2. Lifting Operation
(1) Park the vehicle at the center position of the lift. Generally speaking, the heavier front of the vehicle should be placed on the shorter lifting arm.
(2) Lift the vehicle in accordance with the lifting point positions specified by the vehicle manufacturer. If necessary, refer to the vehicle operation manual to determine the correct lifting point positions.
(3) Adjust the lifting arm to just below the correct lifting point position.
(4) Adjust the height of the pallet so that it contacts the lifting point position of the vehicle chassis. If the vehicle has a high lifting chassis and the standard pallet cannot reach the lifting point, a height support must be used.
(5) After moving the pallet to the correct lifting point position, lift the vehicle until the wheels are about 10 cm away from the ground, then stop. Check whether the vehicle support is firm, whether there is deviation in each lifting point position, and whether the arm lock is locked automatically. If there is a problem, lower the vehicle and readjust. Make sure the vehicle is lifted stably.
(6) Lift the vehicle to the required height. To ensure that the vehicle will not suddenly drop in case of hydraulic system failure, operate the locking button to lock the insurance. Turn off the power switch of the two - post lift and enter the operation under the vehicle.
(7) Before the lift descends, make sure there are no personnel or items under the vehicle. Connect the power switch, operate the descending button, lower the vehicle to the ground. Pull open the lifting arms and drive out the vehicle.
